Two ways to have more support
What kind of support are you considering?
Live-in care and overnight care answer different needs. You can look at either, or both together.
Support across the day
Live-in care
A carer stays in your home, so mornings, mealtimes and the quiet hours between feel less lonely.
We plan the help you need and how sharing the space will work. A shared breakfast, the newspaper, an unhurried cup of tea: ordinary company is part of it.
- A carer living in your home, there through the day
- Help with washing, dressing, meals and medication, as set out in your care plan
- Shopping, laundry and the jobs that keep a home running
- Company at mealtimes and through the quieter hours
Support through the night
Overnight care
Support for when the main concern is the night. A calm evening, a warm drink and knowing someone is nearby make settling down easier.
We plan around when help is needed and how often, so the arrangement matches the night you actually have.
- Help settling for the night, around your usual evening routine
- Someone nearby through the night
- Help whenever it is needed during the night
- A calm start to the morning
Day and night together
Day and night care, planned together.
A live-in arrangement does not mean one person works continuously. Staffing, breaks and overnight cover will be planned with you before care begins.
Good days do not stop at bedtime. Hair and barber visits, shared meals and favourite company can all fit around a live-in arrangement.
Discover Life with WelcarePlanning
Plan around a real day. And a real night.
More support brings more questions. We take time to explain what an arrangement includes and how it works for everyone in the home.
- We start with a usual day and night, including the difficult moments.
- We listen to the person’s wishes and who they want involved.
- We plan staffing, breaks and cover for unexpected changes.
- We explain the support offered and the costs before you decide.
