Your routines
How do you like to start the day? What would you like to keep doing yourself? Care should make room for privacy, choice and familiar routines.
A personal purpose
Welcare Home Care is a private home care service for older people, young adults with disabilities and anyone who needs support at home, in Harrogate, Bingley, Skipton and across Yorkshire.
You may be choosing care for yourself, or for a parent. We talk about the practical help and how the person feels about accepting it.
Dignity, company and feeling understood matter as much as the practical side.

A pot of tea, a plate of biscuits and time to talk. That is how we would like every first conversation to feel.
We want to hear about you before we talk about tasks: how you take your tea, who matters to you, what a good day looks like. The practical help follows from that.

Favourite meals, culture, faith and family can all shape what feeling at home means. Tell us about your preferences, including how you like to communicate.
Whether you receive care or help arrange it, you should understand what is agreed and who to speak to when something needs attention.
Face-to-face time with the management team is part of Welcare’s programme. You will always know who coordinates your care and how to reach them.
A member of the Welcare management team coordinates your care and is your main point of contact. You will know who they are and how to reach them.
Speak to your care coordinator or call the Welcare team. Questions and changes are talked through with you, and your care plan is updated to match.
Start with a conversation about the person and the support you are looking for.
