MyLahore

A British-Asian restaurant group from Bradford, and our partner for freshly prepared meals.

About MyLahore

British classics.
Home-cooked curries.

MyLahore opened in Bradford in 2002, started by Ishfaq Farooq and his family, who had worked in restaurant kitchens as teenagers.

Its menu puts British classics such as shepherd’s pie and jam roly-poly alongside home-cooked Asian curries. The name was chosen so that everyone feels welcome.

  • 2002 Its first restaurant opens in Bradford.

Ishfaq studied for his GCSEs while washing dishes in the evenings, and the first menus were printed on a school printer. The family pooled their resources to open the first Bradford restaurant.

  • 5 restaurants Employing more than 500 people.

In Bradford, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and Blackburn. MyLahore also offers online services and caters for events.

  • 2023 SME of the Year, Bradford Means Business Awards.

The Blackburn restaurant was named Restaurant of the Year North of England at the Asian Restaurant Awards. In 2024 the University of Bradford gave the family its Outstanding Contribution Award, and in 2020 Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge visited the Bradford restaurant.
